Why this care feels different
Time to be heard
Appointments have plenty of time for questions, context, and to hear your whole-life situation. Your mental health doesn't fit neatly into a checklist.
A deliberately smaller patient panel
Kirsten sees fewer patients so your care can be more focused, responsive, and personal to your needs.
Responsive access to your provider
Established patients receive a response within 24 hours. Follow-up appointments are often available within 24 hours, and you can contact her right away if something needs timely attention.
Thoughtful medication management
Medication decisions consider whole-life history, genetics, environment, and individual goals.
Collaboration around the whole person
Kirsten works with therapists, psychologists, dietitians, medical providers, schools, and families to ensure her care cooperates with everyone else helping you.
Kirsten incorporates laboratory work and genetic testing into personalized evaluation and treatment planning. These tools help her understand factors that may affect health, medication response, and overall wellbeing alongside the patient’s history, symptoms, and previous treatment experience.
Support for the concerns affecting your life
Sometimes the symptoms that seem separate are deeply connected.
Kirsten has particular depth in eating disorders, ADHD, and substance use—and in understanding how attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and coping behaviors overlap.
Her personal recovery from bulimia and ADHD shaped the questions she asks and the care she provides. She understands how harmful it can be for psychiatric care to not see the "true source" of symptoms.
Eating disorders and ADHD
Attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and reward-seeking patterns may be important parts of the clinical picture for some patients.
Substance use and mental health
Substance use may occur alongside ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep problems, or other unmet needs.
Mood, anxiety, and the whole person
Symptoms should be considered in the context of physical health, stress, relationships, environment, past treatment, and daily life.

Kirsten knows what it feels like to be told recovery may never come.
Years ago, Kirsten lived through bulimia and the discouragement of being treated like a “chronic relapser.” She felt unheard, reduced to a diagnosis, and made to question whether meaningful recovery was possible.
Her recovery proved that identity wrong.
That experience shaped the practice she later built: a place where patients are not treated as hopeless, difficult, or destined to remain stuck. Kirsten’s own experience with ADHD also deepened her clinical curiosity about the ways attention, impulsivity, mood, eating patterns, and substance use can overlap.
Today, she brings both clinical knowledge and lived understanding to care that asks better questions, looks beyond labels, and keeps the patient’s goals at the center.
A clear first step
Beginning care should feel simple
Start with a free consultation
Schedule a complimentary 15-minute conversation to ask questions, describe what you are looking for, and determine whether the practice may be a good fit.
Complete a comprehensive evaluation
Kirsten takes time to understand your symptoms, history, past treatment, concerns, goals, and overall health.
Build a personalized plan
Your plan may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, relevant testing, lifestyle considerations, and collaboration with other providers.
Stay connected through follow-up
Established patients receive a response within 24 hours, and follow-up appointments are often available within 24 hours, so treatment keeps pace with your life.
Private-pay by design
Why Kirsten chose private-pay care
Kirsten built her practice outside the insurance-driven model so care could remain personal, responsive, flexible, and centered on the patient.
Superbills may be available for patients who independently choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
More time in appointments
Visits are built around the patient rather than the shortest reimbursable appointment.
More frequent follow-up
Follow-up is scheduled when it is clinically useful, not when a plan allows it.
Direct communication
Patients reach Kirsten directly between appointments.
Fewer insurer-imposed restrictions
Treatment decisions are made between the patient and provider.
Clear costs before care begins
No copays or deductibles through the practice, and fees are explained up front.
Greater discretion
Care that is not submitted through an insurance claim stays between the patient and the practice.
