Kirsten’s approach
Looking at the whole person
Symptoms do not exist in isolation, and neither does treatment. Kirsten considers the parts of daily life that shape how a person feels and how a medication plan is likely to work. She is trained in CBT, DBT, supportive, and person-centered therapy, and these approaches may be incorporated into visits or coordinated with a patient’s therapist.
Factors considered in your plan
- Sleep
- Nutrition
- Stress
- Physical health
- Hormonal or developmental context
- Therapy and support systems
- Substance use
Laboratory work and genetic testing
Kirsten incorporates genetic testing and laboratory work into her personalized approach, helping her evaluate medication response, physical-health factors, and the complete clinical picture. Testing is considered together with clinical history, symptoms, prior response, and professional judgment.
“She develops treatment options based on my specific symptoms, not just based on a text book diagnosis.”
